The Man of Mode Programme
An illustrated programme for The Man of Mode is on sale at £3. In it, Peter Holland writes about "Gentle George" Etherege, the play, and the reckless pursuit of sex and society in the Restoration world he inhabited; Philip Hensher reflects on today's young London rich and their similar concerns; and the short and scandalous life of the poet Lord Rochester, model for the leading character in The Man of Mode is described. With Johan Persson's photographs of the company in rehearsal, and biographical details of cast and creative team.
How to purchase your programme voucher
Click on the date of your visit on the date selection page, and follow the instructions to checkout. (If you would like to purchase a programme but are not visiting the theatre, please visit the online NT Bookshop)You will receive in the post, one voucher per programme purchased, to be redeemed at the National Theatre only. Please note, these vouchers may arrive separately to any tickets purchased.
How to redeem your vouchers
Vouchers are clearly marked with the production name: they cannot be redeemed against a different programmeProgrammes are available from the first preview of each production and vouchers can be redeemed at any stage during the production's run.
Take your voucher to the National's Bookshop in the ground floor foyer, open 10am to 10.45pm Monday to Saturday.
On the day of your visit: redeem your voucher at the National's Bookshop or with front of house staff at performance times.
Vouchers cannot be redeemed against any other purchase at the NT.
Lost vouchers
Please keep your vouchers safe: the National Theatre is unable to replace lost or stolen vouchers.
