Adrian Lester, currnetly playing the title role in Nicholas Hytner's production of Henry V.

Adrian Lester is an NT Associate. Theatre credits include Sweeney Todd directed by Declan Donnellan in the Cottesloe and Lyttelton and A Midsummer Night's Dream on tour for the National, the title role in Hamlet directed by Peter Brook at the Theatre des Bouffes du Nord and the Young Vic, Bobby in Company directed by Sam Mendes at the Donmar and Albery for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical, Rosalind in As You Like It directed by Declan Donnellan at the Lyric Hammersmith, Albery and on tour for Cheek By Jowl, for which he won the Time Out Award for Best Actor, Six Degrees of Separation directed by Pyllida Lloyd at the Royal Court and Comedy Theatre, for which he won the Time Out Award for Best Actor, Kiss of the Spiderwoman at the Belgrade Coventry, Fences directed by Alby James at Liverpool Playhouse and Garrick Theatre West End, The Winter¹s Tale at the Royal Exchange and Hanging the President at the Traverse Theatre Studio. TV credits include Girlfriends for Paramount TV, Jason and the Argonauts for Hallmark, Ball and Chain for Channel 4, Storm Damage, Silent Witness and Teaching Matthew, all for the BBC. Film credits include Day After Tomorrow, Final Curtain, Dust, Born Romantic, Maybe Baby, Love's Labour's Lost, Best, Primary Colours, Up On The Roof, Les Soeurs Soleil and The Affair.
